The game started with high intensity and it wasn’t until the 44th minute when A. Nalić, assisted by N. Besara, opened the scoring for Hammarby. N. Besara then took over the spotlight by adding a second goal through a penalty in the 61st minute. BK Häcken remained undeterred with E. Chilufya assisted by Samuel Gustafson managing to score in the 69th minute. M. Sonko, off an assist from J. Laursen in the 96th minute, added the final touch that evened the score for BK Häcken.
Substitutions and Cards
Both teams saw several substitutions throughout the game. Hammarby’s most notable change was A. Nalić leaving the field after his successful goal. His replacement, B. Trawally, wasn’t able to replicate Nalić’s performance, leaving the field goal-less. Similarly, E. Chilufya Jr. was substituted after a successful score for BK Häcken. Four yellow cards were issued during the match, the three to Hammarby IF players halting their momentum.
Final Reflections
Despite the draw, Hammarby IF showed a strong defensive performance with goalkeeper O. Dovin making 5 saves. BK Häcken dominated in terms of ball possession (60% to 40%). Interestingly enough, Hammarby IF used all permissible substitutions. The anticipated win for Hammarby didn’t manifest, instead, both teams shared the spoils in a heated and highly competitive match.
