In a high-stakes battle near the bottom of the Premier League table, Leeds United and Leicester City played to a draw at Elland Road, leaving Leeds winless in four top-flight matches.
The game began with intensity, and Leicester’s Youri Tielemans appeared to have scored a stunning goal in the seventh minute, only for VAR to rule it out due to an offside position. Leicester continued to threaten with Kelechi Iheanacho and James Maddison, but Maddison’s sliding effort went wide.
Leeds took advantage of the missed opportunity, with Luis Sinisterra scoring from a Jack Harrison cross. This goal extended Leicester’s unwanted streak of 18 matches without a clean sheet in the Premier League. Leicester’s Iheanacho had a powerful long-range attempt saved by Illan Meslier before substitute Jamie Vardy leveled the score with a clinical finish off Maddison’s pass. Vardy almost scored a second, but it was ruled out for offside.
Leeds had chances to secure a win late in the game through Marc Roca and Patrick Bamford, but both players failed to convert. Ultimately, the match ended in a draw, with Leeds remaining 16th in the table and Leicester sitting in 17th place.
